The Minister for Trade, Commerce and Industry, has down-played wild public speculations of an imminent Cabinet reshuffle, as the Opposition announces a looming Vote of No Confidence against the Government scheduled of the November Parliament session.
Minister Richard Maru said the government is intact and there was never any reshuffle made by the Prime Minister, despite his recent trip to New Ireland Province and a closed door meeting with State Enterprise and Investments Minister Ben Micah and New Ireland Governor, Sir Julius Chan. Minister Maru also says, there is no split in the ruling People's Congress Party, and that there is no faction of the PNC, led by a Cabinet Minister, camping in Madang.
