Following request for comment on press conference by the Opposition today on DISP funds, the Chief Secretary to Government, Amb Isaac Lupari CBE says "DSIPs are subject to cashflow and all Districts have been paid in the past four years regardless of whether their local member was in the Government or Opposition."The Opposition has to be reminded that DSIP funds do not belong to politicians.
"DSIPs are the people’s money and are dispersed through District Authorities."Politicians should stay out of the work of public servants who are just trying to do their job "Media should base news on fact and Leaders should all speak fact. "I challenge leaders in the Opposition to commit to oath they took for country and be honest with the facts. "Do not try to politicize the delivery or public services.”
