The Taurama four lane road ground breaking ceremony yesterday by Governor Powes Parkop and Moresby South member Justin Tkatchenko, attended by Global Construction representatives turned sour when business owners and road corridor property owners living along Taurama road became questioned why they weren’t addressed on this Taurama four lane road ground breaking today. Governor Parkop stated that this was only a formal ground breaking ceremony for this Taurama four lane road project and road construction will start in January 2016, and those issues will be addressed this month as meetings will held with land owners who have their properties along the new road corridor because of road allocation of 50 meters wide extension will be needed to allow for the new four lane Taurama road. National Capital District Commission (NCDC) engineers and Global Construction engineers will also be available for clarification on where those extensions will be taken. This new four lane road will link up with Magi Highway and also give other basic service such as water and power to all those residents along this road.
