Youths and students in Papua New Guinea can now have the chance to learn basics of seeking employment. Thanks to Kina Bank’s launching of the ‘’Project Wok Program’’ yesterday at the Waigani Branch in Port Moresby. Project Wok Program in conjunction with Kina Banks Yumi Program is an initiative to create workforce of the future in teaching youths the basics of how to seek employment successfully through an 8 week training program. Kina Bank CEO Greg Pawson said the program began at the end of 2018 seeing 12 youths successfully undergo the pilot program. The second batch begin yesterday with 10 youths to undertake the training. He said Kina Bank will look to expand the program into high schools and colleges here in the Nation’s Capital especially with the year ten, eleven and twelve students. He said plans on developing the program further are in progress, where students that undergo the program may have access to internships or permanent employment opportunities.
