Police in Solomon Islands are investigating a break in at a provincial bank which occurred over the weekend.Bank South Pacific's Auki branch in Malaita was broken into in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The branch manager, Gordon Ifuimae, told the newspaper, the Solomon Star, his staff were still trying to establish if any money had been stolen during the incident.
Police say the persons involved got in by cutting through a security grill in one of the windows.
They managed to open three more doors inside the bank and left by the back door.

The Auki branch of Bank South Pacific, which is closed today, is the same bank which was robbed by armed men in 2015.
