It's been highlighted, that Papua New Guinea may be unable to contain a huge population and unemployment among youths, unless it grows the Small Medium Enterprise sector.
Trade, Commerce and Industry Minister, Richard Maru, says these social issues among others, hinder the nation's growth and prosperity. Maru says, it is therefore important to have an S-M-E policy and Master Plan, to overcome this obstacle. A Consultative workshop which starts in Port Moresby today, will discuss this issue further. Maru says, they want to gauge views of all stakeholders, before a submission is finalized, for Cabinet's approval. He says, the plan must include people from all walks of life, as it is very important and could rectify some of the issues and challenges facing P-N-G. Comments are closed.
