Four detectives who obtained the warrant of arrests for Prime Minister Peter O’Neill and Ministers James Marape and Don Polye have been suspended.

The four detectives Inspector Joel Simatab, Sergeant Michael Dukur, Senior Constable Robert Ewail, First Constable Thaddeus Yangawi were suspended for their involvement. Kulunga said the actions of the police officers were unbecoming of police officers as they did not follow protocol in obtaining the warrants. He said all investigations will be carried out by the Task Force Sweep and no any Police department will involve in this. Meanwhile, courth has set side the warrant to arrest Prime Minister Peter O'neill for corruption, but the Prime Minister is retaliating by setting up a task force to investigate PNG Opposition Leader Belden Namah.
