PNG Power has shut down Hangjung, Moitaka and Kanudi Power station because PNG Power is unable to get fuel from Mobil and Puma since the roadblock was set up by villagers at Hanuabada. Residents in Port Moresby are advised that heavier load shedding will be carried out by PNG Power so expect more frequent power blackouts. This means that power supply will be off for a longer period in different parts of the city to ration the limited electricity supply. Fuel suppliers Mobil and Puma are still unable to deliver fuel to these power stations due to the roadblocks set up by the Hanuabada villagers
