Roadblocks set up by locals in the Hanuabada area is forcing P-N-G Power to carry out load-shedding in the National Capital District and surrounding areas.
P-N-G Power said, they need to ration the limited supply of fuel at the Kanudi and Moitaka power stations. It said, the new supply of fuel cannot be transported, due to the roadblocks. Fuel suppliers Mobil and Puma Fuel Depots are located in the area. P-N-G Power said, load-shedding will continue, until the road block is removed. City residents will also be affected if the supply of fuel from Inter Oil's Napanapa Refinery is not re-opened soon. A source from Puma Energy the media, they are using the Baruni back road to cart fuel out from the refinery, but this is very risky for their workmen. They are urging the government and police to address the issue with the locals, to allow them to continue their business.
