The National Court decision into the election petition of the Enga Provincial Seat has been granted for review at the Supreme court.
Justice George Manuhu handed down the decision yesterday, before a packed courtroom yesterday. This follows an appeal by runner-up and petitioner, Sandy Talita, disputing the 2012 election win of Governor Peter Ipatas. Addressing the crowd after the decision, Mr. Talita said, he's seeking judicial redress because there are serious issues of facts which the law overlooked. A three-men Supreme Court will convene on April 28th, 2014, to review the National Court decision. Comments are closed.
