The fate of a Catholic priest allegedly involved in a several sex scandals against children will soon be made known.
The Port Moresby Archdiocese has confirmed receiving a report about the former St John of God Brother and now Catholic Priest Fr. Roger Gabriel Mount. Fr. Mount, was alleged to have sexually abused boys, while working as a Brother at the Kendall Grand home in New South Wales, Australia. His name surfaced, after one of his victims, 60-year old David McNamara learned that his alleged abuser, despite being suspended in 2011 over similar allegations, continues work as a Priest in Papua New Guinea. Fr. Mount, was still working as a Priest at a local parish at Sogeri outside Port Moresby, when the allegations were made. Archbishop John Ribat, was not able to comment on the matter, however it's understood, discussions have begun for immediate actions against Fr. Mount.
