POPULAR activist Noel Anjo has called on the MP for Wabag, Robert Ganim to make
a public apology for accusing him. The front-man of People’s Power Movement expressed dismay on the manner in which the MP had gone to the media to accuse him for staging public gathering on the ongoing political issues for personal interest. "I have a proven record as an activist for over 10 years. The whole of PNG and even the world knows who Noel Anjo is and I cannot be unfairly accused by a mere politician," Mr Anjo said. He said for Mr Ganim to accuse him as staging public gatherings for personal gain was misleading and a direct insult to him. He said he had been an advocate for the people on issues of national importance and it was not his first time to stage gatherings and host peaceful protests. "I am not doing this for Wabag electorate so I can be accused by Mr Ganim, I am doing it for the interest of the public, which is the eight million people of this land," Mr Anjo said. He said he was a fulltime resident of the National Capital District in the North-East electorate which Labi Amaiu is the local MP and not in Wabag. He said the Wabag MP had no reason to accuse him. He said that he had the constitutional rights as an activist to speak up for the interest of the silent majority on issues that could affect the country and the people.
