The alternative Prime Minister Hon. Don Pomb Polye today launched a book by the former Prime Minister and New Ireland Governor Sir Julius Chan. Notable absences were the Prime Minister Peter O’Neill and his ministers (except Byron Chan) or even the MPs in government. The book was launched at the State Function Room in Parliament today (Friday). The launch was witnessed by the Opposition’s Shadow Minister for Finance and Planning Mark Maipakai, diplomats and the People’s Progress Party stalwarts among others. In politics such events make huge headlines. Hon. Don will be in Wewak at the weekend to celebrate the Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare’s 80th birthday, following an invitation from him.
