Different factions of the police force involved in the current turn of events surrounding the arrest of the prime minister and related matters has agreed for a way forward.
That is to address the ongoing situation that has divided the police force. Acting National Capital District Metropolitan Superintendent Perou N'Drannou successfully negotiated the deal this afternoon. This was after Suspended Assistant Police Commissioner Crimes, Thomas Eluh and the disbanded Task Force Sweep Team Chairman, Sam Koim voluntarily surrendered to police for their arrest. They were at the Boroko Police station after receiving confirmation for ther arrest by members of the special service division. The meeting is schedule for next Tuesday with Police Commissioner Geoffery Vaki and senior members of the force set to attend. However Deputy Commissioner Operations Jim Andrews maintined there is no faction within the force and there will be no meeting. He says a letter written to the Commissioner to attend a proposed meeting on Tuesday at Bomana Police College will be disregarded. Andrews maintained the action is unnecessary and the Comissioner has national issues to concentrate on rather then attending the meeting. Comments are closed.
