The Papua New Guinea Electoral Commission today released the polling schedule for the four regions. The Highlands region will all have one-day polling, beginning with Hela Province on Monday 4th July, Enga on Thursday 7th, Southern Highlands on Monday 11th, the Eastern Highlands on Tuesday 12th, Jiwaka and Western Highlands on Wednesday 13th and Chimbu on Friday 15th July. In the Southern region, the National Capital District will have one day of polling on Wednesday 6th July. Milne Bay has one week of polling from next Monday to Friday 8th July.
Western, Central, Gulf and Northern Provinces have six days each of polling from next Monday to the following Monday 11th July. In the New Guinea Islands, East New Britain, Manus and New Ireland will have one week of polling from next Monday to Friday 8th July. West New Britain and the Autonomous Region of Bougainville will have six days of polling starting Monday 4th to the following Monday 11th July. Madang Province will have two weeks of polling from Monday 4th - 15th July. East Sepik, West Sepik and Morobe head to the polls like others throughout the country on Monday 4th and ending Friday 8th July.
