Papua New Guinea highly values its long standing relationship with the Republic of Korea.
Acting Governor General, Theo Zurenouc said this when welcoming, Mr Kwak bum-soo, Ambassador designate of the Republic of Korea to PNG. The acting Governor General says various development and technical assistance by the Republic of Korea, has contributed to PNG's national development. Mr Kwak bum-soo presented his letter of Credence to the acting Governor General, at the Government House, today. The acting vice regal says he is confident the Ambassador Designate of the Republic of Korea will continue the excellent working relations, that his predecessor, Mr Kim Seong-Choon had with the Government and people of PNG. Papua New Guinea and the Republic of Korea have formalized diplomatic relations since 1976, and after 40 years, both countries continue to nurture and expand in all spheres of relations.
