Facilities and infrastructure to implement death penalty in the country will be set up first before those on death row are executed.
An exact timeframe for its setup has not been given. Secretary for Justice and Attorney General, Dr Lewrance Kalinoe says the government is moving on with its plan and will implement the death penalty . "The government has now progressed to develop guidelines for three mode of executation. Hanging, death through firing squad, anestetic administration and lethal injection. We have developed guidlines for these modes of execution. We are now at the stage of looking to develop infrastructure." Dr Kalinoe says. He was speaking during N-B-Cs Talk Back show this morning. (5th, March, 2015). Dr Kalinoe say death penalty is not temporary, and has always been in our Constitution without being implemented until this government decided otherwise.
