PRIME Minister Peter O’Neill expressed his deepest and sincere sympathies to the Prime Minister of Solomon Islands, Gordon Darcy Lilo, and the people of Solomon Islands following the flash floods that caused destruction and deaths.
Mr O’Neill announced that the government will assist Solomon Islands with K1 million for relief assistance towards resettlement, infrastructure repair and other efforts, which has been caused by the flash flooding. “On behalf of the people and the Government of Papua New Guinea, I convey our sincere condolences to the families of the victims and pray for God’s peace, comfort and strength during this difficult time,” he says.
