Acting Police Commissioner and Chief of Police Operations, Simon Kauba says, the police modernization program, launched in April 2013, will be fully implemented, this year.
Mr. Kauba says, public safety will be the first priority with more policing of towns, cities and communities. He says, implementing the modernization program will mean, ensuring police stations are adequately manned and complaints attended to, efficiently and professionally. It will also mean, increased police presence in public places, with a view to prevent crime before it happens. The Modernization program, will also see police out in the clear, enforcing various rules and regulations, such as consumption of alcohol in public places and enforcement of motor vehicle safety requirements.
