Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape says he will raise issues affecting Papua New Guinea and Pacific nations at an international meeting on climate change later this year. Mr. Marape confirmed he will attend the United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties or COP26 meeting in Glasglow, the United Kingdom in December.
He made this known during the Virtual Conference on France Oceania Summit on the Oceans and Climate Change co-hosted by France with the Pacific Island Nations. Mr. Marape says there are many problems and issues that Pacific nations, including PNG, face and he will speak on those at COP26.
