Prime Minister Peter O’Neill has made yet another call to the Opposition Leader Belden Namah to engage himself with the governments open debates, on issues concerning the growth and wealth of this nation.
The Prime Minister made these comments in response to Mr. Namah’s most recent claims that he was the signatory to the letter, and he’s filing a fresh case with police. Last month, the Opposition Leader Belden Namah displayed the letter directing Treasury and Finance to pay outstanding legal fees to the law firm. Mr. Namah maintained his views were valid, which the opposition has a responsibility for keeping the government in check. However, Mr. O’Neill has denied the accusations and said that his signature on the letter was forged. The letter of directive still remains the subject of investigations by the Parliamentary Privileges Committee and the Investigative Task Force Sweep. Mr. O’Neill said the letter wasn’t released from his office, as the Task Force Sweep team has already conducted investigations. He has welcomed questions and investigations into the matter and will not back down on any political opportunities. Meanwhile, Mr. O’ Neill said the Independent Commission Against Corruption Bill will go before Parliament soon. EMTV Comments are closed.
