The PNG Media Workers Association is deeply saddened at the untimely death of Mr. Justin Kili after a short illness at Vunapope, East New Britain on Saturday 17/01/2015.
His death is a huge loss to the media fraternity. JK as he was affectionately known to all within the Media Fraternity and to the many thousands who listened to his radio programs and shows, held various senior positions within the media industry. A Journalist himself, Kili was also actively involved with media organizations that promoted and protected journalists interests such as the PNG Media Council and the defunct Journalists Association. Kili’s death leaves a void within the media industry that will never be filled. The wealth of knowledge that he takes with him will never be replaced. For what he contributed to the development of the media industry, we can only express our deepest and sincere gratitude. On behalf of all those employed in the Media Industry, those whose work is associated and the thousands whose live you have been a part of in your beloved vocation on radio and in media generally, the PNG Media Workers Association would like to extend its heartfelt condolence to his wife and children and his extended family in Port Moresby and Buka.
