The Papua New Guinea SP Hunters have come out of losing streak in Australia by beating Tweed Heads Seagulls 40 - 10 at Piggabeen Sports oval this afternoon. In the first half, the score was 10 - 4 in favor of the Hunters after they scored two tries to one over the home side . In the second half, the Seagulls squared the score 10 - 10 with a converted try. A very good defensive effort from the Hunters held off enormous attack from the home side. The Hunters got a breather after a penalty was awarded to them. Halfback Watson Boas found the line and the Hunters were on attack on the next play. Fullback Bland Abavu scored for the Hunters to extend the lead to 16 - 10. Two quick tries from Tuvi Lepan and Thomson Teteh further extended the lead to 28 - 10. In the final 10 minutes saw two more tries to Butler Morris and another to Abavu to grab his second right on full time. Full time score : Hunters 40 beat Tweed Head Seagulls 10 .
