Prime Minister Peter O'Neill has extended invitations for more investors into Papua New Guinea, because of the steady and conducive environment for trade and business.
Mr. O'Neill said this during a meeting with the Chief Executive Officer of Horizon Oil Limited, Brent Emmett and the Senior Executive Officer of the Osaka Gas Company, Hidetaka Matsuzaka, in Parliament, this week. He says. Horizon Oil (Papua) Limited and the Osaka Gas Company Limited of Japan, have agreed to explore and develop the substantive acreage and reserves in the Western Province, including the Stanley Project. Mr. O'Neill states. the government has embraced this joint venture between both companies because of their L-N-G experience, financial strength and market for the product to help implement P-N-G's third L-N-G project. The Prime Minister has also welcomed the proposal for the gas to be engaged in the domestic market, as this will now provide for the country's energy needs. Osaka Gas will be a major buyer from the P-N-G L-N-G Project, during its initial export this year, promising to continue on, in the future. Comments are closed.
