The Civil Aviation Safety Authority have endorsed and approved the New
Zealand aviation school as flight training provider to train airline ready pilots for Papua New Guinea. This approval was done after CASA recognizing the New Zealand School of Aviation’s Eagle Flight Training limited who have trained 50 students from PNG since 2010. Eagle flight Training limited CEO Mr. Alexander Zapiserskiye said we are proud to be associated with PNG and its people as many students are supported by their local communities, private trusts and government bodies. “We believe this is the excellent way for the country to support the fastest growing industry in the world. The Government expects its students to fly for local carriers across PND after completion of their training and we are happy to be part of this initiative,” said Mr. Alexander. He said I believe it is a big step for Eagle Flight Training towards potential business cooperation with the national airline of PNG and Air Niugini. Eagle Flight hosted a delegation from CASA PNG in Auckland in 2013 during and CASA representatives inspected the training facility and audited the flight school’s training methods and outcomes. The students from PNG who were training at EFT also had the opportunity to interact with the CASA officials and explained them how much they knew about aviation and its operations. The Eagle Flight was established in 2004 and is approved as a flight training provider by the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority, NZ Qualification Authority and Civil Authority of Vietnam. Eagle training is a training provider for the Vietnam Airlines, Viet Jet Air, Hong Kong civil aviation department, Hong Kong ATC department and Airways New Zealand, and it has trained hundreds of students from all across the world.
