Meantime, lawyers representing Prime Minister, Peter O'Neill, have confirmed receiving instructions to withdraw all court cases on Mr. O'Neill's behalf, relating to the Paul Paraka Lawyers payment.
This includes, the appeal filed in the Supreme Court against the National Court's refusal to stop police from executing a warrant of arrest against Mr O'Neill, in relation to the issue. The appeal is set to be heard by the High Court this Thursday. But Tiffany Twivey confirmed with NBC News this afternoon, she's received instructions from the Prime Minister to withdraw the proceedings. Mr O'Neill told media yesterday, that he respects the decisions of the courts and will await instructions from the Police Commissioner if he's requested to go for an interview. Meanwhile, former Attorney-General Kerenga Kua, has commended Mr O'Neill for his move and says, the Prime Minister has no choice but must make himself available for interview. Comments are closed.
