Prime Minister Peter O'Neil is warning students at the University of Technology in Lae, to return to class, or face consequences of the university being shut.
Reiterating earlier calls by Higher Education, Science, Research and Technology Minister Delilah Gore, Mr. O'Neil says students must allow common sense to prevail and resume classes, while allowing the University Council deal with their issues. Peter O'Neil says if there are options to shut down the university, they will take it, unless students return to class. Meantime, O'Neil says the government will recommend that a new Council for the University of Technology, employ an International Human Resource company, to recruit a new Vice Chancellor for the institution. He says this should be a fair decision for all parties. Comments are closed.
