The Government yesterday hit back at Opposition claims that its playing dirty politics, resulting in the defection of many Opposition members.
The Opposition camp has dwindled from 10 at the start of the year to just three, Leader, Belden Namah, his Deputy Sam Basil, and Rabaul M-P, Dr Allan Marat. Mr. Namah said the reason being they were not able to access their funds to develop their electorates. But Prime Minister Peter O'Neill denied this , saying they are joining Government because of its credible policies. '' They are joining the government because of its program, for the first in 40 years, they can see changes happening, delivery of ah basic services for Health and Education programs are rolled out to all parts of the country, the crime rates are coming down investor confidence is up, theses are government interventions that are working and I think both the opposition leader and his deputy need to give credits where its is due.
