Counting for the Morobe Regional Seat continued into the night till half past six this morning. As of this morning, 15 exclusions have been done so far. After the 15th exclusion, former Governor and People's Labour Party candidate Luther Wenge is still leading with 83, 102 votes, and on second is Kemas Tomala with 59, 081 votes. Incumbent Governor and PANGU Party candidate Ginson Saonu is third with 29, 273 votes and fourth is woman candidate and People's Movement For Change's Jennifer Baing with 22, 053 votes. Fifth is Joshua menos with 19, 288 votes
The Provincial Returning Officer and Elections Manager Simon Soheke, says that he is confident that Morobe will have declared a Governor before the Return of Writs this Friday. With 15 exclusions done, Morobe now has 22 more exclusions to go, before a winner is declared.
