Vital Services such as Health, Education and Law and Order in Oro Province are affected significantly due to the short fall of Provincial Funds from the National Government since 2015. Oro Governor Gary Juffa said the Oro Provincial Administration warrants from November and December 2015 and February and March 2016 have been received with NO ACTUAL CASH in the bank and while warrants for January 2016 was not yet received. He said this had seen Education and Health Programmes coming to a halt causing extra burden on Popondetta General Hospital and the most schools are suspending classes due to insufficient TFF subsidies. “Detainees in Oro Police cells were also released by police because the police cannot feed them and also the Correctional Service have to asked relatives of detainees to help feed them also because they had no funds to operate,” the Governor said. Governor Juffa said the Treasury and the National Government cannot give an explanation to this serious matter and he is seeking Legal Advice on this Financial Crisis affecting his province. “This are seriously critical and we have no choice but to sue the National Government”, he said.
