The Opposition has warned the Government NOT to adjourn Parliament or it will take it to court.
Mr. Polye says any adjournment is illegal, because Parliament is required to meet the 63 sitting days required in the parliamentary calendar. Vanimo Green-River MP, Belden Namah, told the media last week, Parliament still needs to sit for more than 20-days to meet this Constitutional requirement. The warning by the Opposition comes, after it re-submitted the motion of no confidence vote against the Prime Minister today. Mr Polye says the Opposition has been informed that the motion is now in order and meets all technical requirements. He claims 17 MPs signed on the motion including two MPs from the ruling Peoples National Congress party.
