Prime Minister Peter O’Neill will hold talks with US President Barack Obama and other World leaders next week to reaffirm PNG’s staging of the 26th APEC Economic Leaders Meeting in 2018.
O’Neill will discuss security issues with Obama during the 22nd APEC Economic Leader’s Meeting in Beijing, China, on November 10 -11. Chief of staff, Isaac Lupari said yesterday that discussions between O’Neill and Obama would focus on US Naval support and other security measures during the 2018 meeting in Port Moresby. Lupari said, O’Neill will meet the leaders of China, India, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand to discuss logistics, security and fundamental issues of the meeting.
