Prime Minister, Peter O'Neill, says all major events in Papua New Guinea must be organize according to the highest international standards.
He says this is to ensure enjoyment and maximum outcomes for all participants. The Prime Minister said this when he commended all participants at the recently concluded 5th Melanesian Festival of Arts and Culture, as well as Papua New Guineans for their warm Melanesian hospitality. Mr O'Neill says organizers of future national events must learn from the experience of the two-week event that took place around the nation. On the organization side, the Prime Minister says there were positive and negative aspects that must be taken into account. Mr O'Neill says with PNG due to host many major events in the coming years such as the Pacific Games, APEC and Pacific Islands Forum, lessons must be learnt from the festival. Comments are closed.
