The National Research Institute today launched its 2007 Provincial and District Universal Basic Education (UBE) Profiles report which was finally accomplished after 8 years of research done by NRI’s Education Specialists.
Associate Professor and Program Leader Dr Arnold Kukari said these profile reports will reflect or show performances of students and schools around the country which will now assist the Education Department and the National Government to identify and develop areas that need improvements. He said the reports were collective data of performances of all schools around the country being put together to identify which provinces where producing very high results and those that were producing average or low results so the Government would prioritise funding to improve all schools to the same level. These reports will be set as the template for further research into Universal Basic Education in the country and electronic copies of the profiles can be access on the National Research Institute website after being launched today.
