Papua New Guinea National Information and Communication Authority (NICTA) is looking into the issues of disappearing phone credits and extra charges to subscribers on Mobile Phone networks in the country According to NICTA CEO Charlse Punaha, a consultation paper has already being issued to Digicel and Bmobile Vodafone to have a look at and comment on the findings from NICTA’s investigations and also the concerns raised by the public on issues with phone credits. Some of the findings include additional charges from android phones automatic application upgrades, extra charges on voice prompts and voicemail messages. Once a feedback is given by the network providers, the paper will be made public for comments which will lead to moves by NICTA to deal with this issue
