The Madang Provincial Government and Middle Ramu M-P, Assik Tommy Tomscoll, are being urged to fix the rundown Bogia-Josephstaal road, so people have easy access into and out of the area.
This call came from Community Leaders and public servants working in the district. The frustrated workers met at the Catholic Headquarters this week, demanding to know what the local M-P and Provincial Government are doing, to address some of the critical issues facing them, one of which is transport infrastructure. Teachers posted to schools in the Josephstaal Local Level Government area, say they cannot travel out, due to the bad condition of the national road. Head teachers and School Board Chairmen from the same place state, it's very costly to move in and out of Josephstaal and urged the concerned authorities to look into their plight and that of locals.
