Police in Misima in the Milne Bay Province are calling for assistance from sea fearers in NGI to assist in the search for a dinghy that went missing during the strong winds warnings in the Milne Bay waters 11 days ago.
Constable Pala Kaki said police in Misima have been searching along the local coastal areas in Misima, Woodlark, Rossel and Nimoa after receiving reports of the missing dinghy with 8 passengers travelling from Woodlark to Misima. Mr. Pala worriedly said they stopped their 3 day search yesterday after all attempts were negative. The Provincial Disaster Centre in Alotau is in the process of acquiring a chopper to carry out an aerial search. Two children are among the 6 adults that went missing 11 days ago while travelling from Woodlark to Misima.
