National Planning Minister Charles Abel has expressed disappointment that the 2015 National Budget lacks sustainable planning and development.
Minister Abel said this when addressing the current Research, Science and Technology conference which ends today. Mr Abel says the Budget books have no mention of sustainability, which indicates a disconnection to outcomes, which is important for measuring progress and development. The Minister says Papua New Guinea requires a major review of its strategic planning policies and laws or get caught up in what he termed as the rat race. The conference also witnessed a ceremony in which Resolutions by representatives of six major Tertiary institutions in the country was given to Minister Abel.
