Kikori MP and Triumph Heritage Empowerment Deputy Party Leader Southern, Mark Maipakai, has been appointed as the Parliamentary Leader of the Triumph Heritage Empowerment Party. This follows the stepping aside of Party Leader and Kandep MP Don Polye, following a National Court decision, staying his election win early this week. Mr. Polye's win has been stayed until the counting of five disputed ballot boxes from the Kandep Open Electorate in the 2012 National Elections within the next 30 days. Bulolo MP and PANGU Party Leader Sam Basil has been appointed as the new Opposition Leader.
