Finance Minister James Marape, says Papua New Guinea can be assured that the Government's main expenditure is on track, according to the 2016 National Budget. He says, the first quarter District Service Improvement Program funds for this year will be out this week, with the first lot of Tuition Fee Free money for the education sector. "Our revenue in other sectors are starting to pick up now. "We have a committee led by Chief Secretary, assisted by Treasury Secretary, Finance and Planning and key expenditure departments are part of this committee, so every week we go through key Government priorities, so that we honour what we're focused on the budget priority for 2016. "Major expenditures are running on track. "DSIP focus, health focus, Free Education has been honoured. "The DSIP, the first 10% will go out this week as we speak. "We've paid our bills as far as public service salary is concerned. "Every fortnight, we have to find up to K90m to pay them. "Let me commend IRC and Treasury and Custom, for doing their utmost best in bringing in the revenue. "There's also a review taking place at the moment, in terms of how to increase efficiency in revenue collection," Marape said. NBC/PNGfacts
