Tari-Pori member elect and leader of Pangu Pati James Marape says when Pangu forms the new government, it will begin work on rectifying some of the electoral issues so that the 2027 National Elections will not have the same unreadiness experienced now Speaking this morning after his party recieved the Section 63 letter to form government when the 11th parliament sits tomorrow, Marape says issues such as common roll updating through the Census will be a priority.
He maintained that his government did give adequate funding to the Electoral Commission, however the PNGEC did not prepare itself to be ready for this election. He ended by stating the Pangu Pati with 36 members will be with their coalition partners at Loloata today preparing for tomorrow. The combined total he says is 82 members at Loloata.
