The Principal of Madang Teachers’ College, has announced the phasing out of the two-year diploma program, this year.
Mr. Mathias Sully, in his graduation speech, says the 357 diploma students were the last to graduate under the two-year program in Primary teaching. This was the College's 51st graduation under the two-year diploma program. Mr. Sully says, this is phased out to make way for the new three-year diploma program starting next year. It's the first of its kind in P-N-G and will only be piloted by the Madang Teachers College and gradually, introduced to the other Primary Teachers Colleges. The Madang Teachers College Principal says, first year students for 2014, will continue studies for two more years, before graduating with a Diploma in Primary Teaching. The three-year Diploma Program, ushers in a new curriculum and makes it equitable and technology-friendly, for students. Comments are closed.
