The continuos criticisms of the Opposition Leader Belden Namah over the O’Neill-Dion Government has irked a former MP who has called Mr Namah to stop the nonsense.
Daniel Tulapi, a Southern Highlander like Mr O’Neill, has urged the Police Commissioner and the Ombudsman Commission to investigate and prosecute lawyers, public servants, police officers, military officers and Mr Namah over what he described as the scandalous, malicious and continuous character assassination of PNG’s democratically and constitu-tionally elected Prime Minister. Mr Tulapi said in a statement that the Electorate of Ialibu-Pangia was formally the Electorate of Ialibu-Kagua which is now two separate electorates of Ialibu-Pangia and Kagua-Erave in the Southern Highlands Province. "As such my people and Prime Minister Peter O’Neill’s people are seriously offended by the continuous scandalous attacks and character assassinations by Belden Namah and conspirators who with criminal intentions continue to conspire against a democratically elected Prime Minister,’’ he said. "I call on the Opposition Leader to shut up and concentrate on telling the nation what his alternative policies are and a statement of his development agendas and programs for this nation to that of Peter O’Neill’s policies and programs of free education, free health care and his people’s resources of LNG Gas resources and petroleum oil resources that clearly set up the stage for progress and change.’’ Mr Tulapi said this country was going in the right direction with the current developments under Mr O’Neill’s prime ministership who he said was the best captain and chief executive of PNG. "Lawyers and policemen alike can only work under a democratically elected government. "The public service and judiciary must not compete or challenge the government but must enforce and carry out the policies of the government of the day for the people of this country. "The people of this country are not represented by lawyers and policemen and a few individual groups," Mr Tulapi said. PNG Facts / Post Courier Comments are closed.
