The young flight attendant involved in a scuffle on the plane with a government minister denied she had an argument with the leader.
Sheryl Marjen said she was only doing her job and waited for the minister to put off her phone. She was giving evidence yesterday (29th June 2015) at the tribunal of member for Sohe and Community Development, Youth and Religion Minister Delilah Gore. Gore's lawyer was suggesting their was an argument in the plane after the leader was pissed of by the action's of Ms Marjen. Ian Molloy suggested it started from the beginning when the flight attendant touched Gore's shoulder, and wasn't polite in her approach. She then stood by Ms Gore waiting for her to put of her phone when the minister said, she will switch it off, and asked if the flight attendant knew who she was? The tribunal was told an argument took place then forcing the plane to return back to the parking bay were it was agreed for Ms Gore to be offloaded. This was even after she issued a formal apology. Five people gave evidence against Gore, this include the Air Niugini port manger for Girua Airport, two passengers the co-pilot and Ms Marjen. The leader is expected to take the witness stand today.
