A four-year old boy is believed to have been crushed to death after a house collapsed, during strong earthquake in Bougainville The earthquake measuring 7-point-3 in magnitude, was centred close to the southern part of Bougainville island. More details are emerging about the impact of two major earthquakes that hit the Autonomous Region of Bougainville, last Friday night. A government official with the Autonomous Bougainville Government, Nick Peniai told Radio new Zealand International, they are still waiting for full reports but they've been told several houses have been destroyed. "In one village alone, about 20 plus houses the other villages we do not yet know the total count. We would only know about the actual damages that have been caused from the new report that will be sent over here by the task force team from the provincial disaster office." Comments are closed.
