A drunk District Administrator has been arrested and charged in Alotau for dangerous driving. Alotau Police received word recently of a dangerous driving incident in Losuia District in Milne Bay Province almost resulting in the death of a 15 year old Kiriwina High student.
Provincial Police Commander Joseph Morehare said the driver of the provincial government vehicle who is a District Administrator was under the influence of alcohol when the incident occurred. According to reports received, the incident happened earlier in the month when the drunken District Administrator ran into a coconut tree causing serious injuries to the girl who has been hospitalized while the vehicle has been smashed. Police have arrested the perpetrator who was charged for dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm. Comments are closed.
