PNG heads of missions say lack of prudent communication between PNG and the overseas missions and delays in the release of funds for overseas missions are major setbacks. PNG's Ambassador to Japan, Gabriel Dusava, said simple communication such as telephone calls are never answered, and emails home take time before a response is made. Ambassador Dusava said, PNG talks about connecting and integrating with the outside world, but its key departments particularly Foreign Affairs Officials are still sleeping, and not getting the basics right. PNG's Ambassador to Brussels, Joshua Kalinoe, raised similar concern, saying financing of overseas mission is vital to running the missions. The Chief Secretary to Government, Isaac Lupari, assured he will ensure this is addressed. These was highlighted during the Heads of Mission Conference in Port Moresby yesterday.
