The Papua New Guinea Constitutional Law Reform Commission has produced a draft report on the review of the laws on income tax with a specific emphasis on personal income tax. C-L-R-C Secretary Dr. Mange Matui says the report aims to adapt the best tax regime for the good of the people. The report with its findings and recommendations was accepted by relevant stakeholders from the public and private sector at a seminar held recently in Port Moresby. A total of eight recommendations in the area of legal, policy and administrative, and socio-economics were proposed, based on the findings from the research and consultations conducted around the country in 2021 after the Review was launched.
