Representatives from the Geneva-based International Trade Centre are in Papua New Guinea to advance a project that will transform the country’s informal business into a commercialized industry.
I-T-C’s Asia Pacific Senior Trade Promotion officer, Govind Venuprasad said the project funded by the I-T-C Women In Trade program is in its pilot stage and aims to make the traditional bilum more viable in international markets.
