The Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Julie Bishop will be making her official visit to Papua New Guinea, this week.
She is expected to arrive to a formal welcome at the airport. According to the program, Ms Bishop will be met by Foreign Minister Rimbink Pato upon her arrival before meeting with Prime Minister Peter Oneill and National Planning minister, Charles Abel later in the day. She is also expected to meet with the P-N-G Women in Business and leadership roles before meeting with Treasurer, Don Polye, Minister for Justice and Attorney General, Kerenga Kua. She will visit the Bomana War Cemetery in the afternoon. On Thursday, Ms.Bishop will attend a Business breakfast hosted by the Australia-PNG Business Council before departing for Lae, Morobe Province. In Lae, she will visit Angau Hospital and meet with Governor, Kelly Naru, and Lae M-P, Loujaya Kouza as well as A-F-P police personnel in Lae.
